An Evening with Joanna Trollope

Happy New Year Wishes to all our wonderful customers!

It's been another great year at DRAKE - The Bookshop and we still can't believe how warm our welcome to Stockton has been, and continues to be.

We always suspected we had the best customers in the world and, as you will read below, this has been proved beyond any doubt.
Thank you all for your support in 2017 and here's to lots more fabulous reading in 2018
Heartfelt thanks, Richard, Mel and Matthew

You gave the gift of reading

We are passionate about children's reading and firmly believe that children should have access to books as often and as freely as possible.
This Christmas we launched our Children's Book Appeal hoping some of our generous customers would buy an extra children's book this Christmas and donate it to a local school. We were not surprised that you lovely people got behind this, but have found your generosity heart-warming. We now have over 30 books (and counting) to give to High Clarence and Tilery Primary Schools -amazing!
In addition, several customers have 'paid forward' their reward cards which, in addition to the money donated on the Christmas Shopping night at the end of November, we will use to buy some exciting reference books for the two schools as well.

Richard is going into both schools in January to hand the books over to some excited children (and teaching staff!) watch this space, pictures will follow...
